BUFORD – For this week’s installment of Best Spots, we've compiled a list of the best golf courses in for you to take a break and tee it off while the weather is nice.

The Hamilton Mill Golf Club is a favorite among many Atlanta golfers and is known for its “panoramic views, playable Bermuda grass fairways, undulating bentgrass greens and impeccable, year round conditioning”.

The course was designed by Fred Couples and Gene Bates. Members and guests enjoy the stunning par-72 course. The facility features a clubhouse with a Pro Shop and a conference room. It also features a practice center with 7,000-square-feet of bentgrass putting greens.   

Members can play 18 holes with cart at Hamilton Mill for $16-$60.

The Northwood Country Club facility in Lawrenceville, Georgia features 6,798 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par-71. The golf course is an 18-hole course with a 73.0 rating it has a slope rating of 130.

The Northwood golf course opened in 1961 on rural farmland. The club is Gwinnett’s first private club and it’s nestled among about 220 acres of “gently rolling terrain”. The golf club includes a putting green, practice range, short game area and three practice greens.

The club prides itself on being Gwinnett County’s “premier” private club.

The Hamilton Mill golf course is located at 1995 Hamilton Mill Parkway. And the Northwood Golf Club is located at 3157 Club Drive in Lawrenceville.
