New principals named to 2 Gwinnett high schools

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- Gwinnett County Public Schools has named new leaders at two of its high schools.

Kerensa Wing is the latest principal of Collins Hill High School. She comes to Collins Hill from Lanier High School, where she was also principal. She replaces outgoing principal Glenn McFall, who retired last month.

Wing began her career in Gwinnett County in 1990 as a teacher at Shiloh High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in history from Oglethorpe University, a master's degree in social studies from Georgia State University and a specialist's degree in educational leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.

Dana Pugh has been named principal of Grayson High School. He will move to Grayson from Bay Creek Middle School as soon as current principal David Hopson retires at the end of January.

Pugh has worked as both a teacher and counselor in DeKalb County and began serving as principal of Bay Creek Middle in 2009. He has a bachelor's degree in political science from Tuskegee University, a master's degree in counseling education from Jacksonville State University and earned educational leadership certification from the University of Georgia.

The school district is now working to find new principals for Lanier High and Bay Creek Middle.
